Since everyone got that last weed growing in my yard correct (the unanimous verdict was Wild Dandelion), I decided to photograph other plants growing in my backyard. If you know what any of these are, and if they are or are not edible, please let me know.

From Debra:
No 2- is wild mustard- yes edible
No 3 might be wild mint- pick a leaf and smell- if it smells minty then that is what it is
No 5- is plantain- good for bee stings- just put in mouth chew up and then spit on sting- but I also put it in my smoothies
No 6 is clovers- yes edible
From Juju:
#3 is pigweed aka amaranth. check out the book Edible Wild Plants, a North America Field Guide to over 200 Natural Foods by Thomas S. Elias and Peter A. Dykeman
For #6, it might be Wood Sorrel since it usually has heart-shaped leaves. Both Clover and Wood Sorrel are edible. You can find out for sure by munching some -- Wood Sorrel has a nice sour/lemony flavor.
